“I’m very interested in how we interact with landscape, be it natural or altered. My work plays with the idea that as humans, we have an academic attraction to nature, yet we want to be a part of it on our own terms. I’m also very interested in boundaries and navigation: how we divide the land into grids, both in the city and on the farm. I create imagery that feels both organic and controlled, placing static against more fluid movements. For my CSArt project, I’ll be thinking about grassroots movements to re-connect ourselves with our surroundings while still living an urban lifestyle.”
